Fascia, Cornices and Parapet Capping systems

Introduction

Copper Roofing l Architectural Metalformers manufactures and installs Fascia, Cornice and Parapet Capping Systems.

These incorporate a method of hidden clips and fixings.

All Flashing systems undertaken by Copper Roofing l Architectural Metalformers are accurate and guaranteed to be of the highest quality available.

Fascia Systems

The benefits of a multi component system that uses a series of Panels, Clips, Cleats and Drip edge are:

Modular design caters for Fascias of different girths and lengths
Allows for thermal expansion of various metals
Separate Drip Edge Flashing can be installed before Fascia to allow the Soffit lining to be fixed quickly
Create a feature with the joining Cleats

A Fascia coupled with a separate Parapet Cap provides a complete waterproofing system.

We provide a full in-house service from site measure, design and consultation through to manufacture and installation.

Capping Systems

Copper Roofing l Architectural Metalformers use a complete multi component approach consisting of Cappings, Clips, Stop Ends, Drip Edge and Saddle Flashings.

Depending on the type of Cappings required (e.g. Roof Parapet Caps or highly visible Balustrade Caps), we have different methods for treating mitres, junctions and terminations.

We provide a full in-house service from site measure, design and consultation through to manufacture and installation.

All these components are fully customised and designed to suit site conditions.

Important factors for consideration regarding Parapet Cappings and the sub frame preparation are:

All Cappings require a minimum of 5 degrees fall. This fall generally should be towards an internal gutter or deck area.
E2 External Moisture Code requires all Cappings to have a minimum of 50mm in low or medium wind zones and a minimum 70 mm in high wind zones for the overlap to the wall cladding i.e. the front and back leg dimensions.

Cornice System

Copper Roofing l Architectural Metalformers Cornice System is a multi component design.

The main feature is supplied in two parts, consisting of a Capping top and the Cornice front. This allows for the following:

A Drip Edge detail can be created on the front face which minimises water flow down the Cornice.
A two part system eliminates expansion and contraction issues, between the Capping top and the front face, due to temperature variation.
This system requires that all internal and external corners are fully soldered.

All joints employ an under strap or butt strap.

This butt strap has capillary grooves to ensure water can not track behind joints. A 3 to 5mm expansion gap is allowed for between lengths.

This product is available in Copper and Zinc only.

The Builder is to provide a 15mm plywood substrate and a bevelled fixing trim.
